2003

Tri-Bassodor Training Camp

The first batch of TriBassador Training was conducted at Temasek Junior College from 5 July 03 to 6 September 03. The 2nd batch of TriBassordor Training (Junior) for Yu Neng and Temasek Primary was held on 20-22 October 03. The training for the SMU and Ngee Ann Polytechnic on 22-24 Dec 03.

Tribassador Training Camps had been organized for Singapore Management University (SMU), Ngee Ann Polytechnic, Evergreen Primary School, North Vista Secondary School and Chung Cheng High School (main).

The volunteers from Singapore Management University had moved on to organize activities for the Pertapis Home. Pertapis Home was adopted by North Vista Secondary School. Through these activities, the volunteers were able to put into practice what they had received during the training.

2004

The World's Longest Friendship Band

It was Racial Harmony & Charity Fundraising Project. In this project, about 3000 students and staff from Evergreen Primary School were involved in making about 40,000 friendship bands. The bands, 25cm each, were connected ends to ends and braided into the World¡¯s Longest Friendship Band. The bands are sold to the public in a street sale. The funds raised from this project will be used to help the needy students in the school. In addition, part of the funds will be used to support the Metta Home and The Convalescent Home.

Tri-Bassodor Training Camp

The training was conducted on Jan ¨CApr 2004 for North Vista Secondary School. Evergreen Primary school was carried out the training on 9-10 May 04. The 2nd batch of volunteers from SMU was trained in Aug 04.


Moon Cake Festival

The Society distributed about $1500 worth of moon cakes to 7 Muslim/Indian Children/Youth welfare homes. More than 500 youths and staff of these homes benefited from this event. The Society's youth volunteers also organized a fun-filled night for the kids at the Jamiyah Children'¡¯s Home.
