中国书法的古老艺术不仅强调书写技巧，也注重人格修养。在掌握了楷书的基本笔画之后，中级学习者将会学习更加流畅的行书。在这种半草书风格中，学习者将学习一系列书写规范，包括连笔、简化和合并笔画、改变笔顺以及文字的布局。通过在经典篇章和诗歌中的引导练习，学习者将能够在这种书写风格中发展出自己独特的风格。课程结束时，年长的学习者将能够胜任书法创作，享受书法艺术，包括书写自己的春联。

The ancient art of Chinese calligraphy emphasizes both writing skills as well as character building. After mastering the basic strokes of regular Kaishu, intermediate learners will be taught the more free-flowing Xingshu. In this semi-cursive style, the learner will learn a series of writing conventions, including the linking of the strokes, simplification and merging strokes, adjustments to stroke order and the distribution of text. Learners will be able to develop their own character in this style of writing through guided practices on classic passages and poems. At the end of this course, seniors will become competent calligraphers in enjoying and creating art pieces including writing their own spring couplets.
